The FIRST FF Film to Finally be Part of the Mainstream MCU (MARVEL Cinematic Universe). Starring; Pedro Pascal as Mister Fantastic, Vanessa Kirby as Invisible Woman, Ebon Moss-Bachrach as The Thing, and Joseph Quinn as Human Torch. The announcements also confirmed that Matt Shakman will direct the new Fantastic Four movie.
Shakman, who directed WandaVision, will not only helm the new iteration of the Fantastic Four, the project kicks off the MCU's Phase 6. Julia Garner has been cast in the film as a version of the SILVER SURFER in The FANTASTIC FOUR Re-Boot Movie will DEBUT on. Garner will play a "Shalla-Bal version" of the iconic comic book character.
This is in reference to the Marvel Comics character Shalla-Bal, who was the lover of Norrin Radd (the traditional Silver Surfer), and who is a member of a race of aliens known as Zenn-Lavians. It's unclear exactly how Garner's character will become the Silver Surfer. Garner is best known for her role as Ruth Langmore in the hit Netflix crime drama Ozark, for which she won three Primetime Emmy Awards. Garner also starred as Anna Sorokin in the Netflix miniseries Inventing Anna, and will next appear in Blumhouse's 2025 remake of the Wolf Man.In March 2019, Marvel Studios regained the film rights to the Fantastic Four and associated characters, along with The X-Men and Deadpool, after The Walt Disney Company acquired 20th Century Fox. A new film featuring the team, part of Phase Six of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, is currently in development for a scheduled release on February 14, 2025. After the acquisition, the 20th Century Fox-produced Fantastic Four films were rebranded as "Marvel Legacy" films on Disney+ alongside the studio's X-Men films, thus separating them from MCU titles produced by Marvel Studios. According to a new report from MCU Cosmic, there are big plans in place to introduce who could be the next big bad, literally this time from Marvel Studios.
And it sounds like it could have big repercussions for the Fantastic Four and the next wave of Earth's Mightiest Heroes. The fan site is reporting that Marvel has plans for GALACTUS, and will likely introduce him in the next wave of movies, the report also mentions a surprising villain from the comics, GALACTUS' former herald TYRANT, who betrays the World Eater in an epic battle with the fate of the universe at stake.
